EUGENE, OR, Nov. 9, 2024 /PRSearchEngine/ — Chance White Eyes is soon to celebrate his first year as Director of Tribal Relations.  White Eyes assumed the role of Inaugural Director of Tribal Relations at OSU in Fall 2023 on December 15th.  The official announcement of his acceptance of the position offer was made on November 9, 2023 by the OSU Newsroom.

Chance White Eyes is approaching one year in his role as Director of Tribal Relations at OSU.  White Eyes proudly assumed the role of Inaugural Director of Tribal Relations in Fall 2023.  Upon his acceptance of OSU’s offer of the position, White Eyes stated that he was “excited to return to [OSU].”  A proud alumnus of the institution, White Eyes was honored by the opportunity to take on such an important role of cultural leadership at his old stomping grounds.  In year one as Director of Tribal Relations, White Eyes had the privilege of acting as a communicator between Tribes of Oregon and OSU as an institution.  He looks forward to continuing his efforts in the community to promote economic, social, cultural and environmental health of Indigenous communities of the region, in relation to OSU and beyond.

Chance White Eyes is the Inaugural Director of Tribal Relations at OSU.  White Eyes is an enrolled member of the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin and works diligently to advocate for his fellow Indigenous community members.  He has maintained an impactful career in Postsecondary Education for many years, with a diligent focus on Indigenous research methodologies.
