Ottawa International Writers Festival is a semiannual event hosted at Christchurch Cathedral Centre, every year in the Spring and Fall. Since 1997, the Festival has welcomed writers from all over the world to engage in Canada’s literary scene. Toted as the Festival of Ideas, Ottawa International Writers Festival seeks to inspire writers by encouraging them to share their stories. The event features works from both published authors and writers in the process of breaking into the publishing world. Full of engaging activities, riveting speeches and so much more, Ottawa International Writers Festival is all about sharing ideas and inspiration, writer to writer.
