A lifelong gamer and enthusiast of gaming from tabletop board games and chess to the intense realms of PC and VR gaming, Allen Chi is excited to intertwine charitable giving with one of his greatest professional passions. Along with thousands of other gamers across the globe, the philanthropist will be gaming for 24 hours straight to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Extra Life began in 2008 as a charitable 24 hour gaming marathon. But, today, the competition has a different meaning. Gamers and contributors to the fundraising event are no longer required to complete a 24 hour marathon — but Allen Chi is still going to try! The philanthropist encourages others to contribute donations to his Extra Life campaign in the weeks leading up to the Gaming Marathon. His attempt at tackling the Marathon’s challenge will be broadcasted for public viewing on the video game streaming platform Twitch.
Allen Chi eagerly anticipates this event and calls on all gamers to join in on the fun! Extra Life’s Gaming Marathon weaves together the worlds of charity and gaming to show just how powerful the gaming community is. All proceeds, contributions and donations will be donated directly to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
