Lisa Steed Launches Blog Series on Women in Trucking

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, September 18, 2026 – Utah-based transportation entrepreneur and FedEx contracting specialist Lisa Steed has launched a new blog series on Medium dedicated to women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and upcoming events shaping the trucking and transportation industry.

The series covers topics ranging from women advancing in transportation leadership to event previews of major industry gatherings, including the Women In Trucking Accelerate! Conference & Expo, National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and programs hosted by the American Trucking Associations. Posts draw on data from the WIT Index, the Eno Center for Transportation, and Steed’s own experience building and running Linked Again Inc., a multi-zip-code FedEx contracting operation that earned a President’s Award for service excellence.

The goal of the series, according to Steed, is to make practical and timely information about the women’s transportation leadership landscape more accessible — and to give women working in trucking and logistics a consistent resource for both current industry news and evergreen professional guidance.

“Women in trucking need more visible representation in the conversations that matter,” Steed said. “This series is designed to be that resource — covering the events, the data, and the firsthand experience that help women navigate and advance in this industry.”

Topics already published include an analysis of the WIT Index’s findings on the growing leadership-to-driver gender gap, a decade-in-review of women’s progress in transportation leadership, and a preview of the WIT Accelerate! Conference coming to Dallas in October 2026. Additional posts covering driver recognition, mentorship, safety culture, and entrepreneurship in logistics are planned throughout the remainder of the year.

Lisa Steed is the founder of Linked Delivery Inc. and Linked Again Inc., an ATA stepvan champion, FedEx Humanitarian Award recipient, and a recognized voice in women’s transportation leadership. Her Medium blog series is available now.
